64-year Old Dies Of Hunger In Jharkhand:- Starvation killing people was seen in olden days and not in modern life. However third death has been registered since September 28th in Jharkhand alone. 64-year old Ruplal Marandi lost her life because of hunger in Thadiyara village in Deoghar district.

Ruplal Marandi had no funds for food and even the local shopkeepers denied their request of providing foodgrains. Even the thumb impression of Ruplal Marandi didnot match the records. Ruplal Marandi's daugther informed that they had no food from the past few days and the officials rejected their requests several times. Now soon after Ruplal Marandi's death, an enquiry commission has been set up. Earlier, Santoshi, a 11-year old died of hunger and a rickshaw puller Baijnath Ravidas too died of starvation in Jharia of Dhanbad district.
