Setback to Salman Khan

The Supreme Court has cancelled the suspension of Bollywood actor Salman Khan in his conviction in the 1998 poaching case. In the year 2013, the Rajasthan High Court had stayed Salman's conviction of five years but the Rajasthan government has challenged this decision and approached the Supreme Court.

The Apex court has reversed the Rajasthan High Court's decision which means Salman Khan now cannot travel to United Kingdom as the Country denies visa to those sentenced to four years in jail. Salman Khan was convicted in this case for hunting and killing endangered deer while shooting for a film in Rajasthan in 1998.
