Stand-in captain Virat Kohli has slammed century in the second innings. With this Virat became the first Indian cricketer to score two centuries in two innings of Test in Australian soil on captaincy debut. India were given the target of 364 runs in the fourth innings, but India made a poor start. However, Kohli and Murali Vijay built the innings.

Unlucky Murali Vijay as he was dismissed on 99. Vijay was very calm and stood like rock before the Aussie bowlers.  Rahane followed and tension in the Indian dug out is on. Nathan Lyon was the pick of the bowlers who dismissed Vijay and Rahane in an over.
