The close and most trusted aide of Jayalalithaa, O. Panneerselvam took oath as new Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu short while ago following the sentence of Jayalalithaa in disproportionate assets case. The 32 ministers in Jayalalithaa's government took their oaths once again but while promising many leaders broke into tears.

Panneerselvam was earlier made CM in September 2001 when Jayalalithaa resigned following a court order and remained in office for six months until she made a comeback. Panneerselvam was invited by Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah to form a government.
