Nagaland Governor resigns

Nagaland Governor Vakkom B Purushothaman has quit his post and sent his resignation letter to the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The decision came after Purushothaman was tranferred from Mizoram to Nagaland earlier this week. Gujarat Governor Kamla Beniwal was transferred to Mizoram which made Purushothaman to resign. He added that the transfer was done with consultation. Purushothaman was also given additional charge of the office of Governor of Tripura and s the sixth governor to resign after the Narendra Modi government took charge at the Centre.
