AP Bar Council Boycotts Court:- Andhra Pradesh Bar Association members boycotted court as a protest against the kidnapping and assassination of Rayasam Adiseshu Vithal Babu on Monday. Vithal Babu is a member of the Bezawada Bar Association.

Indian Lawyers Association state president and AP bar council member Muppala Subba Rao said that in recent times police are filing bogus cases on advocates and also stated that there have been a lot of attacks on advocates.

Even in Addanki, Prakasam district an advocate was brutally murdered, while he was on his way to civil court. Subba Rao asks the government to pass the Advocates Protection Act in legislation like the Rajasthan government did to protect the advocates in the state.

Kakinada Bar Association has boycotted the court as a protest against the death of advocate Vithal. Kakinada Bar Association also demanded the Advocates protection act in the state and said they are going to continue the protest till the act is passed and called all the other district Bar associations to join the agitation.
