Congress continues its Disastrous Performance:- The Assembly election counting in five states Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur commenced today and Congress reported no signs of improvement. Congress continued its disastrous performance in all the five states. In Punjab, AAP reported a huge victory and BJP is heading for victory in four states: Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur. Congress happens to be the oldest party of the country and it is in its worst phase ever since the nation got independence. Congress aimed a strong comeback in Uttarakhand, Manipur and Goa but the results are altered. BJP got comfortable leads in all the states as per the exit polls predicted. When it comes to Uttar Pradesh, BJP is heading for a record victory.
Congress lost half of its vote share in Punjab and this is a huge shock for the national party. The internal issues between the parties damaged the party well. Even the party high command lacks a commanding leader with vision to guide the leaders. The people lost trust on Congress and the party could not withstand before the wave of Narendra Modi. Punjab leader Mr Singhvi said that the party has taken many unpleasant decisions. Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi are tight-lipped after the defeat.
