Covid Hospitalisation Across India Witnesses A Sharp Rise:- After the second wave of coronavirus shattered the nation, India is recovering on a fast note. Record number of deaths are reported and the hospitalization was quite high. There were no proper medical facilities and there was a huge scarcity of beds and medicines along with oxygen cylinders. The third wave of coronavirus started and the cases have seen a sharp rise in most of the Indian states. Though the spread of Omicron variant is huge, the severity is less and the symptoms are mild. Most of the Health reports and Health experts say that close to 1 percent need ventilator or oxygen support after they are tested positive with the Omicron variant.

As per the reports, the cases of hospitalization too increased in the recent week. Chennai had 507 admissions into hospitals on December 3rd and they are now 1754 by January 3rd and 1931 by January 4th. 14 percent of the beds in Tamil Nadu hospitals are completely occupied now. The Centre alerted all the states to get prepared and arrange the medical facilities and increase the beds in every hospital. On Monday, the hospitalizations were 503 on Monday and 574 on Tuesday and 15 percent of the beds in Mumbai are occupied. The jump of hospitalization increased by 68 percent as per the reports. Similar reports came from all the cities of the country. On the whole, the third wave of coronavirus is all over and the government asked the people to wear facemasks and be extra cautious by following social distancing when they are in public places. The wave is expected to reach the peaks in February and March this year as per the experts.
