Tirumala Announced As A Containment Zone:- Ever since the TTD authorities allowed devotees for the visit of Lord Venkateswara, people rushed in huge numbers despite of the coronavirus fear. Even after taking strict measures, following social distancing and allowing a limited number of people, the spread of coronavirus has been huge. The government of Andhra Pradesh has been conducting tests for 200 TTD employees on a regular basis and 80 TTD employees are tested positive with coronavirus till date. Their family members and those with whom these positive confirmed people went in touch are found and the tests are being conducted.
With the huge spread of coronavirus in Tirumala, the region is announced as a containment zone today. The officials announced the news today. It is unclear as of now if the visit to Tirumala temple will be left open if the TTD officials will close the temple for few weeks amidst the huge spread of coronavirus. Several devotees have been booked darshan tickets online before a few weeks and they have made their travel arrangements. With the spread of coronavirus in and around Tirumala, the officials are left puzzled. The final call on this will be taken soon. A total number of 84 positive cases of coronavirus are detected in Tirumala till today.
