Patanjali Ayurvedic Medicine Receives A Jolt From Ayush Ministry:- Baba Ramdev's Patanjali Group announced an ayurvedic medicine to treat coronavirus patients. The clinical trials were jointly conducted by Patanjali Research Institute, Haridwar and National Institute of Medical Sciences, Jaipur after which the announcement was made yesterday. The Ayush Ministry said that they are not aware of the medicine and they asked Patanjali Group to stop advertising about the announced drug.

The statement said “Patanjali Ayurved Ltd has been asked to provide at the earliest details of the name and composition of the medicines being claimed for covid treatment; site(s)/ hospital(s) where the research study was conducted for covid-19; protocol, sample size, Institutional Ethics Committee clearance, Clinical Trials Registry India (CTRI) registration and results data of the study(ies) and stop advertising/publicizing such claims till the issue is duly examined,".

The Ayush Ministry asked the Uttarakhand Government to provide the copies of the issued licenses along with the product approval details for the treatment of coronavirus. Two drugs named Coronil and Swasari have been launched to cure the patients of coronavirus in 3-7 days. Patanjali Groups said that the tests have been conducted for 280 patients and all of them recovered in less than 7 days. Patanjali said that they would soon launch an e-commerce app for the delivery of this ayurvedic medicine.
