They were brought for scene reconstruction and when they tried to escape, the cops started firing after which the four accused got killed. CP Sajjanar met the press and revealed the details about the encounter. Here are the updates in his words:

Everyone is aware of Disha's incident and she was burnt in Chatanpally village. Shadnagar cops are investigating the case.

All the four accused Mohammad Arif, Siva, Chennakesavulu and Naveen have been given judicial custody for ten days.

The interrogation and examination is under process from the past couple of days. We have collected the cell phone and other belongings of Disha.

Today they are brought for scene reconstruction and they started behaving strangely. They started attacking the cops and we warned the accused. Then cops started firing and shot them on spot.

Cops recovered weapons from Mohammad Arif and Chennakesavulu. Two cops were injured in the incident and they are recovering well.

Team of doctors and forensic experts are conducting postmortem and their bodies will be handed over to their family members soon.

We suspect that they are involved in several cases and collected DNA samples.

We request you to co-operate and do not disturb the family of Disha by giving them privacy.

The encounter took place at 5.45 AM this morning. About ten cops were present at the spot when the incident took place.

I request the media not to spread false news about the incident as it is sensitive and is related to a girl named Disha.
