Fire Breaks Out at Notre Dame Cathedral:- A massive blaze at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris devastated large parts of the 850-year-old church. After hours of work by hundreds of firefighters, the fire is now under control. The spire of this iconic church fell down after the incident. The fire burned for several hours and officials confirmed that artifacts were saved including the Crown of Thorns. President Emmanuel Macron promised to re-build the structure through an international fundraising campaign.

"Notre Dame is our history, it's our literature, it's our imagery. It's the place where we live our greatest moments, from wars to pandemics to liberations," the President said. An investigation on the incident is currently on and the exact cause is still unknown. One of the firefighters was seriously injured. The incident took place days before Easter. Notre Dame is one of the favorite tourist spots for all those who visit Paris. The structure and the designs impressed many which soon turned out to be a hot spot destination.

The foundation stone of Notre Dame was laid in 1163 by Pope Alexander 3 and it was completed in 13th century. Every year, 13 million tourists visit Notre Dame.
