AP CM Suspends TDP MLC Deepak Reddy For Land Grab:- AP Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu has suspended Deepak Reddy, MLC and son-in-law of Tadpatri MP and businessman JC Diwakar Reddy, from the party for his role in the land grab in Hyderabad.

Recently, Deepak Reddy was arrested by the Telangana Government related to a land forgery case in Hyderabad. During an emergency meeting called by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu at his residence in Vijayawada today, the decision was taken by the party high command.

In March this year, Deepak Reddy was elected as the member of Andhra Pradesh Legislative council. Despite his strong political background, TDP leadership has preferred to suspend him in order not to let party’s image malign because of his arrest.

This arrest of Deepak reddy is in stark contrast to the manner in which another MLC Vakati Narayana Reddy from Nellore, was suspended after raids on his assets. Vakati was suspended soon after the raids, while Deepak was suspended only after the party found the issue too hot to handle.

Moving from AP to Telangana, the ruling party, TRS is facing severe heat from opposition parties spearheaded by TDP in the case of party’s secretary general K. Keshava Rao, who engulfed himself in a land scam in Hyderabad.

In a fresh development, Keshava Rao has announced to return those government lands and pull his name out of this scam. Amidst the taunts of Telangana TDP leaders, TRS leadership has yet to decide upon whether to take action against KK or just suppress the issue since the senior leader has pledged to return the contentious land.
