Temple in Japan offers gay marriages

Seems like the world is moving on. A historic temple in Japan became a platform for gay marriage, despite the fact that these kind of marriages or bonding is illegal in the country. Kyoto's Shunkoin temple has been offering LGBT marriages since 2010 but the couple won't be given any legal right and privileges that heterosexual people will have.

The temple priest defended this marriages and added that he is accepting every couple who would like to have their wedding ceremony here regardless of their faith and sexual orientation. Not only this, the temple is teaming up with Hotel Granvia to offer special destination packages for couple who like get married at the temple.

Speaking, the marketing director of the Hotel said, “it is important for us to inform our guests that we are LGBT friendly hotel and they are free to come to our hotel and enjoy our hospitality.”
