French Open winner Maria Sharapova landed in a controversy by confessing that she doesn't know who is cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. On Saturday, Sachin and many sporting legends graced the Wimbledon and when Sharapova was asked at her post-match press conference "Sachin Tendulkar was the other person who came in at the same time as David Beckham. Do you know who Sachin is?" She replied: "I don't."

However, Sachin fans got irked by this and took it on Sharapova's official Facebook page and comments poured down at her posts. Some of the fans posted Sachin's Wikipedia and lashed out Sharapova's IQ  while few fans questioned 'who is Sharapova?'
