AD crosses another milestone towards Magadheera record

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan is still dominating the box office. His Attarintiki Daredi is said to have crossed the 40 Crores milestone in overall collections. This is a day before the first week ends. Provided the film keeps its pace for the next two weeks, analysts say AD will reach the Magadheera record of nearly 70 Crores.

This week too, there aren't any notable releases, if we leave Ranbir Kapoor's Besharam out of the picture. Will Attarintiki Daredi become the highest grossing Telugu movie of all time? The next two weeks will answer that question. Right now, Magadheera holds that numero uno position.

The next highest grosser in Telugu is Powerstar's Gabbar Singh. Directed by Harish Shankar, the film reestablished Pawan's position as a one man crowd puller. Now, Harish Shankar's next film Ramayya Vasthavayya has high expectations running on it. This is also expected to give steady competition to AD's future earnings.

Next is Mahesh Babu, whose Dhookudu holds the third highest Telugu grosser position. He is coming up with a thriller named 1 Nenokkadine and this too has high expectations on it. However, the highest expectations are running on Charan's Yevadu. The actor's Raccha is at the fourth position among the highest grossers.

This one person is featured twice in the top 5. And that is why, his Yevadu is believed to get a superb response. Charan's Yevadu is an offering that will do justice to the actor's existing image, unlike Toofan. Though he has not yet started shooting for another film, there are a few biggies waiting in the wings. Question is whether Attarintiki Daredi will become the highest grosser and remain so, or whether Pawan Kalyan will set a record only to be broken by the next big releases.
