Seemandhra Leaders' strong points

The stong points of Seemandhra Congress leaders with which they are going to meet the Antony Committee at Delhi today:-

First of all the group of leaders Ministers, MLAs and MLCs decided to tell the Committee that the State should be kept united as it is now.
If they want to go ahead with the bifurcation, they should respect the public opinion and appoint second SRC.  They are going to remind the committee that that is what the CWC decided to do in 2001.

Another alternative they are going to suggest is the implementation of 6th suggestion given by Sri Krishna Committee as per which the State need not be bifurcated but Telangana region can be given special powers of Administration by making a regional committee.

The Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy was also invited by the Committee to meet it today who may do it before the Seemandhra leaders meet the Committee.  He may ask the committee to recommend the Congress party to first give clarity on the status of Hyderabad, and treatment of water, education and employment and then only then the party should start the process of bifurcation of the State.

The Seemandhra leaders are also going to remind the Committee that the Fazal Ali Commission stated earlier that the governance of the distribution of river waters should be under one State so that it will go in the right direction for the development of the State.

Another point is that the State is the result of the sacrifices of many great leaders and it is the first State formed based on the spoken language of the people.

As CWC is telling again and again that it will not go back on their decision on the bifurcation, the leaders are going to suggest an alternative.  As the decision is of the Congress party only to bifurcate the State, now the Government may appoint second SRC which was strongly recommended by CWC in 2001.

With the above view points, the leaders under the leadership of Kiran Kumar Reddy are gearing up to impress upon the Committee not to hurry in the bifurcation process.
