KCR said at Telangana Bhawan yesterday that the Andhra employees will not be left with any option but to leave the State of Telangana. Although his comments evidently did hurt the feelings of the Andhra employees and made them to go for a lightning strike on Saturday, he expressed that he too was hurt for his effigies burnt in Andhra region.
As a seasoned politician whenever KCR states something it is usually backed by more than one target to hit and in the process other repercussions are not cared of.
He said that the TRS party made the situation in such a way that the division was made compulsory for the Center. After expressing his opinion that the Andhra employees will not have any other option except to leave for Andhra where they have to work for their State, he said that the Telangana employees will get extra increment the moment State is divided which will be called the 'Telangana Achievement increment'. He also gave a veiled message saying that some instructions will be passed on to the employees unions who will get the required information from district levels which should be given to them immediately to take action on that.
KCR promised that the State employees will be given revised pay scales at par with the Central Government employees and also an adjustment will be made in the pension plans of the employees. He also gave an assurance that the vacancies created after the State division will be filled by giving promotions to Telangana employees. He also reminded Sakala Janula Samme and his promise on that occasion that the loss of pay during the strike will be compensated with interest on it once Telangana State is formed and said that the day is approaching to keep up the promise.
KCR who has not said anything in public after the AICC’s announcement about the formation of the State, yesterday said all the above that serves many purposes.
One is after so much of planning and wait he doesn’t want to lose his upper hand on the Telangana region. He wants to take into his fold all the departments and general public of all walks of life. To start with the plan so many promises were given by him without having any authority to do in a State that has not come into existence. When the very continuation of TRS is in doubt where will he be after the State is formed?
Although he knows that his comments will enrage people of Andhra, he wanted the support of Telangana employees too who backed him in the political fight with TRS flag.
Yesterday’s comments only indicate that KCR has started gathering his strength as he doesn’t want to remain as a history but to get the reins of Telangana State that is heading for the formation.
