Who can fix a price?

Who can fix a price?

Only a seller has a right to fix a price for his product.  But at the same time, the seller has to fix such a price that it earns him a profit and also the product survives in the market with the products of the competitors.  You have a choice in fixing your own price but it has a limitation considering its salability.  Under priced product will cause a loss of its due profit share from the market and over pricing may hamper its turnover.

Priya Anand who was introduced by the director Sekhar Kammula in his movie "Leader" made good in Tamil "Ethir Nechai" produced by Dhanush.  She acted in "Ko Ante Koti", "180" and also in "English Vinglish".  With the encouragement the movie offers gave her, Priya naturally wanted to raise her price but not steadily.  She wants to get remunerated as a top heroine does.  It made some production houses to have a second thought and to drop the idea finally of taking her.  It is heard that a show room owner recently approached her for her appearance at the show room but turned pale after hearing her demand for that.

The talk in the filmnagar is that Priya Anand is going very high in her demands that are too early for an actor to expect in view of her performance so far.  Don’t be so hasty in a hiking act of your remuneration, advises some elderly experienced one in the profession.

But there is also another rule in the pricing policy.  A very low price makes the product look cheap to lose interest in it.  A higher rate in the market sometimes makes the product get a place along with the top brands in the rack.  It’s not that always the lowest quotation gets an award of contract!

So Priya, go ahead and have a good price tag.  After all you are the seller and you have all the rights to get a maximum price for your product.  But only catch is to sell it before its expiry date and before it becomes stale.
