At Vijayawada, in the late hours of Friday the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President, Botsa Satyanarayana, made an emotional speech after the inauguration of Dr Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy statue near the police control room. He said hierarchy is possible only in monarchy and not in a democratic government referring to the threatening strategies of Jagan to topple the peoples elected party.
Prior to the speech supporters of YSR congress destroyed chairs and created commotion at the public meeting raising slogans ‘YSR Johar’. He quoted that even Rahul was denied the post of Prime Minister, inspite of the Gandhi family, contributing immensely for the development of the nation.
He further praised the Praja Rajyam Leader Chiranjeevi on merging with Congress. He said the leader was confident that India would develop under the Congress rule. However, he made it clear the Congress would continue the welfare schemes launched by Dr Rajasekhar Reddy.
MP Lagadapati Rajagopal, ministers K.P. Saradhi, Galla Aruna and others praised Dr Rajasekhar Reddy’s policies and vowed to continue the same. They said YSR had always dreamt of making Rahul Gandhi as the next prime of minister of the country.
Later, the minister for housing, Kanna Lakshminarayana, on Friday said Jagan is the heir of YSR for properties and not for politics and the real heirs are Congress leaders.
