APNGO's Association leader and convener of Samaikyandhra Krishna District JAC Md.Iqbal announced that the Government employees will go on strike from 24th. He said that the Central Government is going ahead with their plan of bifurcation steadily in spite of repeated warnings. He said that a delegation under the leadership of Ashok Babu has gone to Delhi and met Sonia Gandhi and other leaders and given their representation regarding the State bifurcation.
He condemned the police action by the Sub Inspector of Nuziveedu manhandling the Samaikyandhra leader in the presence of Minister K. Parthasaradhi and demanded his suspension. He said that he Prime Minister honored the request of a handful of Ministers of Tamil Nadu and stopped going to Sri Lanka. But, he alleges, the Congress is not bothered about 24 MPs of Seemandhra. That is what the Samaikyandhra activists wanted to convey when an activist was beaten by SI, says Md.Iqbal.
