YSRCP creates a history: Sweeps the Civic Polls:- The leading YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh created a history by winning 11 out of the 12 municipal corporations in the state. YSRCP also ended up victorious in 73 out of the 75 municipalities in the state. The polls for the same are held on March 10th and the counting took place yesterday. The opposition parties TDP and Janasena failed to make their impact. The result of Eluru Municipal Corporation was put on hold by the court. Andhra Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy thanked the people of Andhra Pradesh for their belief and the resounding victory in the polls.

The leaders of YSRCP said that the people voted for the party because of the implemented welfare schemes across Andhra Pradesh. They even slammed TDP saying that the people have no belief in the opposition party anymore. Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan said that the YSRCP leaders threatened the voters. He said that the leaders threatened the people of stopping the welfare schemes if they are not won. AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy said that the victory increased his responsibilities and he would strive hard for the betterment of the people of Andhra Pradesh.

Out of the 320 wards contested by Janasena, the party won 18 wards in Andhra Pradesh. Janasena and BJP inked an alliance and they contested together in the polls. In cities, Janasena contested in 224 divisions and won in 7. TDP has been struggling post 2019 elections and witnessed poor results in the civic polls. TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu campaigned in the cities but this did not make any impact.
