TSRTC Strike Reaches 20 days: No Solution Till Date:- The ongoing TSRTC strike in Telangana started on October 5th right before the Dasara holidays. With the Telangana government quite reluctant to resolve the issues and initiate talks, the strike reached 20th day. Despite of Telangana High Court issuing strict orders to initiate talks, nothing of such sorts happened. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) is not in a mood to merge TSRTC in the government which happens to be the major demand from the JAC of TSRTC.

TSRTC unions have formed a joint action committee (JAC), which has put forth over 21 demands for the state including the merger. Though everyone predicted that a solution would arrive yesterday, nothing of such sorts happened. The State government has decided to examine other demands of the TSRTC workers’ unions, as the TSRTC workers' unions have voluntarily withdrawn their demand for the merger of RTC with the State government. TSRTC JAC claims that the government is not releasing Rs 835 crores of employees provident fund.
