TSRTC Row: Strike Tension in Holiday Season:- The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) employees and JAC already threatened of going on an indefinite strike if the issues are not resolved by the Telangana government. The discussions are on for the second consecutive day and they did not yield any positive results. On the other side, the people of Telangana who are in plans to travel to their home towns during the Dasara season are left worried and puzzled about their travel. Most of them locked the tickets for the holiday season and TSRTC employees once again clarified that they would go on strike from October 5th if their problems are not resolved.
The officials held a meeting with the JAC members but the talks failed to get positive results. JAC members clarified that they would go on indefinite strike and the government officials requested them not to go on strike as this would suffer people during the holiday season and even pull TSRTC into huge losses. Telangana government is also in plans for alternate solutions considering the people. They are in plans to use Esma and are in talks with private contract employees. Though special trains are planned during the season, they cannot accommodate all the passengers.
The government officials along with JAC members will meet once again today to take the final call. JAC Convenor Ashwathama Reddy clarified that they would not compromise if their issues are not resolved. He said that they would go on strike as per their plan from October 5th.
