With 5 Minutes Fuel Left, Delhi - Mumbai Flight Lands After 3.5 Hours:- A Vistara carrier flight from Mumbai to Delhi with over 153 passengers on board was in the air for close to four hours on Monday and it was diverted to Lucknow because of the low visibility landing. The flight then headed to Allahabad and then returned back to Lucknow. The biggest relief is that the flight landed finally before the entire fuel exhausted. It had five more minutes of fuel to fly before landing. The Lucknow air traffic controllers saved 153 lives after they reacted on time.

The flight did not have enough fuel to travel for 200 km distance to Prayagraj airport in Allahabad after which it was asked to land in Lucknow. The Lucknow ATC team informed that the weather is clear and it when the flight touched down, it had only 200kg or 5 minutes of flying time left. Allahabad is 30 minutes away from Lucknow. The A320Neo aircraft, operating flight UK 944, departed Mumbai at 2.40 PM with 8500kg of fuel. An investigation is on about the incident.
