WhatsApp Voicemail Scam Worrying Users:- A new WhatsApp hack has been worrying the users that could hack the accounts through voicemail inbox. This could get the cyber criminals have an access to your account. The news has been revealed by Naked Security, a blog that is run by the British security company Sophos. A national warning has been issued by National Cyber Security Authority in Israel after they felt that the attacks became so prevalent. WhatsApp then gives an option to send a six-digit code through phone call and if the users doesn't check their phone, it automatically gets delivered to the voicemail.

It is then the scammers take the advantage of the security flaw in the communication networks that provides the customers with generic phone number and retrieve their voicemails. The four digit pin or the password is easy such as 0000 or 1234 by default. This helps the scammers get access to the voicemail inbox through which they can listen to the six-digit code. If they enter the code into their own device, they get the complete access to the victim's WhatsApp account.

This attack was first detected by Ran Bar-Zik, a web developer in Oath. WhatsApp users can check the settings in their WhatsApp and tap the 'Account'. Navigate to the 'Two-step verification' heading and tap 'Enable.'
