Mood of the Nation Survey: NDA to Retain Power: With 2019 elections heading, its time for surveys in the country. With NDA leading the race, Congress along with its allies are in plans to dethrone BJP from power. As per the latest survey Mood of the Nation July 2018 (MOTN July 2018) poll conducted by India Today, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would retain the power back in 2019 elections however they would not get the magical figure alone. As per the survey, NDA will fall short of 30 seats in Lok Sabha and UPA is expected to improve their numbers.

With NDA getting clean majority in 2014, this time it may not be a smooth win. South Indian regional parties like YSRCP, AIADMK are expected to be quite crucial and if they support NDA, Narendra Modi will sure make it to power comfortably. If parties like TRS and Biju Janata Dal joins the alliance, NDA will form the goverment with 280 seats. Several parties like YSRCP are not in a mood to join hands with BJP before elections.
