After 21 years, IT Raids At Jayalalithaa's Residence:- Things changed completely after the sudden demise of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. The political situations in the state have been altered and it took some time for the government to turn stable. In a shocking move, Sasikala has been sent to jail in the disproportionate assets case and is residing in Parappana Agrahara jail, Bengaluru. Never in the history, Income Tax raids were initiated when Jaya was alive.

Last week the Income Tax officials raided across the properties of Sasikala and her aides for over five days. Now in a surprising move, the Income Tax officials raided the Veda Nilayam, Jayalalithaa’s residence located in Poes Garden, Chennai. The officials later met media and informed that her office has been raided for some documents. However there are talks that the raids have been conducted for Sasikala’s room in the house. Jayalalithaa's personal secretary Poongundran was interrogated recently after which the raids took place.
