GST Rolls out Midnight:- The Goods and Services Tax (GST), India’s biggest tax reform since Independence has been approved sometime ago. GST rolled out officially in the country last night in the Central Hall of the Parliament. Right after the clock knocked 12, President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi pressed the button to launch GST in the country. With the logo of 'one nation, one tax, one market', all the states from the country approved the bill after which it has been passed in the houses. All the states Chief Ministers, ministers, MPs, MLAs and officials have been apart of this lavish event.

However even after several attempts by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, the opposition parties Congress, Trinamool Congress, RJD, DMK and Left parties skipped the GST launch. However some of the MPs from Congress and other opposition parties made it for the event. President Pranab Mukherjee expressed his happiness on GST Launch and Narendra Modi called the GST Launch as the success of Indian democracy. Jaitley said under GST, the revenues will go up as the compliance goes up and the GDP will also increase.
