President accepts AP special courts act

The President, Pranab Mukherjee, has given assent to the Andhra Pradesh Special Courts Act, 2015 (Andhra Pradesh Act No.16), which was enacted to recover the ill-gotten assets of the public servants.

This is the much awaited at of the TDP government in Andhra Pradesh, that too especially, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who is eager to take over the attached properties of YSRCP Chief, Jagan Mohan Reddy, along with his Sakshi media, which under Enforcement Directorate (ED) attachment.

Odisha, in 2006, enacted the Special Courts Act for the first time and then Bihar did it, to attach the properties of government servants, involved in disproportionate assets cases, with an intent to make sure that, the beneficiaries of ill-gotten property or money, do not enjoy the property or money during the trial.
