Back to back counters: Jagan and Naidu in assembly

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and YSRCP president Jagan are involved in the war or words on the first day of monsoon session of the State Assembly yesterday.

Deaths caused due to the stampede at Godavari Maha Pushkaraalu and suicides for the special status to AP and many more issues were dealt and both the leaders countered on each other.

When the speaker is allegedly not caring about Jagan’s words, as he was not even given an opportunity to speak in the assembly, Jagan said, “The unfortunate thing is, even the speaker, who is supposed to be a mediator for both the leaders, is backing just one leader all the time.”

Not stopping there, Jagan further said, “The game plan is to ensure that Mr. Naidu is given an opportunity to convey his party’s stand at the end of the day. The proceedings will be adjourned immediately, after Naidu makes the statement, thereby, giving no time to the opposition to at least seek the clarifications which is what we did.”

“AP CM has deviated from the statement he was supposed to discuss in the assembly and that is the reason for me to interrupt. If Naidu can prove that he was not deviated from the statement, I am ready to quit,” Jagan challenged.

Pushkaraalu stampede deaths is a tragedy, do not politicize - Naidu

Reacting to the Pushkaraalu deaths incident, Jagan said, the incident would not have happened if Naidu went to VIP ghat instead of Pushkar ghat, he went there just for the publicity. This allegation was severely taken by AP government officials.

Naidu countered Jagan saying, “I had to visit the general area for the pujas being performed by the Kanchi Peetham seer at the VIP ghats. “Why did Mr. Jagan take the holy dip in the general bathing ghat instead of the VIP area?”

Pushkaraalu stampede deaths issue is a tragedy. But Jagan is trying to make it a political one and targeting the AP government.

Along with Naidu, other TDP officials and also speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao warns Jagan, to withdraw commenting on such sensitive issues.

But it seems Jagan is not at all convinced and continued to make the similar allegations and also took up the bifurcation issue. However, the further meetings in the assembly are expected to be more viral.
