To divert the nation’s attention from Lalit Modi case, the government asked CBI to take the suspects in the Sunanda Pushkar’s death case through the polygraph test.
As said, six suspects, including three prime suspects were gone through the lie detector test. Police Commissioner BS Bassi confirms the news and hinted that more will go through the process in the upcoming days.
Narain Singh, the domestic help of Sunanda Pushkar’s husband – Shashi Tharoor, Driver Bajrangi, and their family friend Sanjay Dhawan are among the prime suspects who faced the test. Apart from that the Delhi Police also questioned SK Sharma, Vikas Ahlawat and Sunil Takru.
Former Union Minister Shashi Tharoor was interrogated thrice earlier in the case so far.
Earlier, Delhi Police made a plea in a city court seeking permission to conduct the Lie Detector test on the prime witness in the Sunanda Pushkar case, for which the court agreed.
Sunanda Pushkar was seen dead in the Leela Palace Hotel, Chanakyapuri in New Delhi on 17th January 2014 after a twitter controversy war with a Pakistan Journalist.
Since then The Delhi Police has tried their best to bring the case to an end. As a part of it, they are now working on the loose ends. However, the labs in India failed to detect the poison levels in the viscera samples of Sunanda Pushkar and thus they were sent to the Federal Bureau of Investigation Lab, Washington. Police are now waiting for the reports.
Nobody denies the Government’s acuteness and studious nature in dealing Sunanda Pushkar’s case. But why the Sarkar failed to progress the same in Lalit Modi’s case is what buzzing all around. If the
BJP is far away from Cronyism, why didn’t it order the same lie detector test on Sushma Swaraj, Vasundhara Raje, and her son? At least why not on Yeddyurappa? Is there anybody to answer?
