182 fishermen missing, AP govt. searching

182 fishermen, who went to hunt are found missing in AP, the government is in search of those men right now.

Andhra Pradesh experienced continuous heavy rains since four days. During this time, the fishermen are advised not to perform hunting, as it might be risky. But taking a chance, they went to hunt but did not return back yet. All those men are identified to be from East Godavari district Kakinada, Krishna district Machilipatnam and Vishakhapatnam.

Andhra Pradesh government advised the officials to search those fishermen and regarding this, it also allocated three helicopters and two coast guard boats. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu participated in the special meeting with the officials to discuss about the missing fishermen and heavy rains.

On the advice of the Chief Minister, the officials started searching the fishermen in two ONGC helicopters and one reliance helicopter and also two coast guard boats.

On the other hand, Chief Minister said that, according to the Vishakhapatnam weather report, there would be heavy rains in the next 24 hours and advised not to perform any hunting in the sea.

Andhrawishesh view

It would have been better if the government had imposed strict rules towards hunting during the heavy rains and even arranged tight security at the sea, to restrict the fishermen to perform hunting. However it would be better if it at least reacts now and act accordingly.
