Central minister assures special status for AP

After the rejection of the special status for AP, many controversies arose in the state. Due to the continuous disturbances to the centre, it finally announced a new decision on the proposal on this issue.

Central minister Nirmala Seetharaman said that if Andhra Pradesh is given a special status, other states like Tamilnadu are opposing it saying that their industries will turn to AP and also demanding to give them special status too. This is the reason for the centre to pause this idea.

She further assured that this is just a pause, a date and time can anyway be not told, but the special status proposal shall be approved in future for sure. The minister who came to Vijayawada to attend few programs spoke to media regarding this issue.

The minister pleaded media that she is not expecting any respect from them but just asked to convey the message of centre about the special status issue to the public. We are unable to come into media holding flags, but we are trying to solve the issue as soon as possible. This is the reason, media is more interested to know about the comments of the opposition party Congress and the opinions of BJP leaders are just printed at some corner of the page in a small article.

She reminded, under UPA government itself, leather park at Krishnapatnam was allocated 15 crores, but that was no where utilized and along with the interest, now it turned to 23 crores. This amount was  canceled by the BJP government on the special request of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. For the construction of Raj Bhavan and Assembly, it allocated Rs.500 crores and for other important facilities, also allocated Rs.1583 crores. She further assured the central government's full support for the AP state in future.
