Smriti irani spots a spy camera

At an apparel store in Goa, Smriti Irani, the union minister spotted a spy cam.

Irani spotted this camera at the outside of the concerned shopping mall's trail room, when she went to the shop at the Fab India showroom at Candolim village, 20 km north of state capital Panaji. She complained that camera is spotted outside the trail room, but the lens of which is pointing towards the space where she was actually trying out clothes.

Umesh Gaonkar Superintendent of police(north) said four staff members of the showroom were already  taken into custody and identified as Prashanth Dattaram Naik (20), Raju Sanap Mallappa Payanachi (24), Parsh Sadanand Bhagat (26), Karim Sanap Amil Lakhani (24) . The FIR was even lodged at the Calangute police station on these people and all those are to be local residents according to the FIR.

Smriti Irani immediately informed her husband Zubin Irani, a business man and within no time contacted BJP Legislator Michael Lobo too. From there Lobo started investigating the case where it started primarily with the cctv footage.

Lobo speaking to media said that the footage contained all the scenes of trial room like the people changing the clothes and so on and all the footage is regularly monitored by the Senior Fab India personnel.

Answering to the question asked by NDTV, Fab India Managing director Williams Bissel told that the security cams are placed only at the place where shop lifting can occur but not inside the trail rooms.

Umesh Gaonkar, Superintendent of police said, North Goa police have formed a team to examine the cctv installations by all the commercial malls in its jurisdiction.

Hope this action alerts all the shopping malls in the country too.
