Indian Techie fells to death in Sydney

An Indian Techie named Pankaj Saw, fell from a top-floor balcony and died.  The man may have been speaking on phone to his family when he fell from balcony and died in Sydney.

Emergency services were called to an apartment block on Cottonwood Crescent in Macquarie Park about 1:00am (AEDT).

It is believed 29-year-old Pankaj Saw had only been in the country for a few weeks. It appears Mr Saw leaned back on one of the wooden balcony railings and it came loose. He fell head first onto the concrete below and sustained serious head and internal injuries.

Paramedics arrived at the scene but were unable to revive him and he died at the scene, police said.

The Mr Saw's employer, Karen Waller, arrived at the unit block this morning and said the 29-year-old had recently been married.

"[He was] recently married, loved his family, so this is probably one of the worst things that has happened in this space for a very long time," Ms Waller said.

"So he's going to be sadly missed."

She described him as having "so much life and energy".

"He was personable, he cared about everyone, he brought the team together," Ms Waller said.

"[He was] very, very good at his job."

Police earlier established a crime scene but now believe the fall was a result of misadventure and there are no suspicious circumstances.
