It is just few more hours and the entire globe will step into 2015. The celebrations have already begun but in major cities across India, a sense of threat is also prevailing. Especially in Delhi where the crime against women is increasing at rapid pace. The recent rape of IT employee by a cab driver created more insecure among the women who want to come out and join the New Year celebrations.

On this note, few pubs in Delhi came up with a unique thought to provide free dropping facility to women customers who come alone. The Quote Bar at Connaught Place is one such place which will provide cab service to the women customers. “We always escort women till parking area where their cars will parked and this year we will assist in dropping. It is just an extension to our service,” said the director of the bar.

Not stopping here, the owners of few pubs, bars are arranging female bouncers and thoroughly checking the background of cab drivers. Despite taking measures to ensure the safety of women, the bookings for the new year celebrations hit rock bottom. Many hotels are offering special packages to attract customers but the safety concerns have a major impact.
