AP govt introduces CRDA Bill

Andhra Pradesh government has introduced Capital Region Development Authority [CRDA] Bill in the Legislative Assembly this morning. Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister P Narayana introduced this Bill in the house and it will make way to form a 30 member body which will be chaired by Chief Minister of the state.

Post the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh state, the administration is being monitored from the common capital and to develop a new capital, AP government has set up CRDA. This authority will look after the development of the new capital of state in a planned manner which ensures comprehensive development all around the region of the capital.

Eight Bureaucrats, including Chief Secretary of the government, four national and international experts who have vast experience in governance, planning, environment and transportation would be appointed as members of the authority but need government's approval.
