The Congress party and TRS party have announced their candidates for the Medak by-election while BJP will finalize their candidate today. Former minister Sunitha Laxma Reddy from Congress will fight for the Medak Lok Sabha seat while Kotha Prabhakar Reddy is the TRS member.

There was a tough fight within the Congress party for the Medak seat, but Sunitha who has good rapport with the high command, emerged as the suitable candidate in the end. In the TRS too, T-NGOs leader Devi Prasad tried his best but KCR preferred Kotha Prabhakar Reddy name as he was ignored during the April-May election and was promised Medak seat, if by-election is inevitable. However, KCR has assured Devi Prasad, MLC seat next year and the T-NGO leader seems to have satisfied with KCR's proposal.

BJP waited for the Congress and TRS to officially announce their candidates and vowed to rope a strong candidate who can give neck-to-neck competition in the by polls. The nominations filing for the Medak seat will end today by 5 PM and BJP is expected to reveal their candidate in the last minute so as to surprise its rivals.
