NDA appoints four new governors

The NDA government has short while ago announced new list of governors for four states and among them, former minister of state in Vajpayee's government CH Vidyasagar Rao was appointed as Maharashtra governor. Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Kalyan Singh will make way to Rajasthan Raj Bhavan, Gujarat assembly speaker Vajubhai Vala will be the new governor to Karnataka state and former BJP Mahila Morcha president Mridula Sinha has been appointed for Goa.

The list of new governors are all the BJP leaders and Modi government has shown their senior some sort of respect. However, there is no information about Kerala Governor Sheila Dikshit's replacement. Yesterday the former Delhi chief minister met Home Minister Rajnath Singh and President of India Pranab Mukherjee and speculations waved that she might step down. Government sources say that Sheila will take a decision in a day or two.

Other aspirants of governor posts like Lalji Tandon and VK Malhotra are ignored and BJP is not in favor of appointing them too.
