Second phase of voting begins

The round two of polling began on Wednesday in six constituencies spread across four north-eastern states. Voting for one seat each in Nagaland and Manipur and two seats each in Arunchal Pradesh and Meghalaya will be held. Assembly elections in Arunachal Pradesh will be held simultaneously.

Mizoram state was also supposed to go for voting today but as the local NGO called for a bandh, the Election Commission [EC] has postponed the polls to April 11. Mizoram has only one Lok Sabha seat that represents in the Parliament.

Voters are expected to take part in polling in high percentage as in the first phase more than 70 percent people casted their vote.
