Congress party has confirmed their tie up with Communist Party of India [CPI] for the upcoming elections in the Telangana region. So as part of alliance, CPI is likely to be alloted one MP seat and 12 Assembly segments.

Telangana PCC chief Ponnala who is Delhi discussing with Congress high command regarding seats and candidates have come to conclusion of alliance with CPI. Accordingly the screening committee is adjusting seats for them. Ponnala is expected to be in Hyderabad today or tomorrow and CPI Narayana will be meeting him after Ponnala's arrival.

CPI is trying to pull TRS in the pool and Congress high command is also doing its efforts. We may not rule out, if TRS agrees for Congress, CPI alliance in coming future.
