Assembly Started with Tributes to Mandela

Winter sessions of the the AP Assembly started today paid tributes to Nelson Mandela.

The Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy introducing the proposal of condolences to Nelson Mandela in the Assembly said that he was a great warrior against racism in South Africa. He said that the demise of Nelson Mandela is an irreparable loss to the people who advocate freedom and independence.

TDP President Chandrababu Naidu said that it is an honor and a matter of pride to our country that the great personality Nelson Mandela says that he was inspired from Mahatma Gandhi.  He remembered him as an incomparable warrior who fought for the rights of the blacks who did not have even voter rights in the country.  He said that the freedom South Africa could get was due the fight of Nelson Mandela.

YSR Congress Party leader YS Vijayamma, MIM leader Pasha Khadri and CPI Member G.Malelsh expressed their condolences for the departed great soul Nelson Mandela.

Assembly adjourned till Friday.
