AVS Made Every One Cry For First Time

Comedian, writer, journalist, producer and director  Amanchi Venkata Subrahmanyam popularly known as AVS who made every one burst in to laugh with his acting, made every one shed tears yesterday for the first time.

AVS who was suffering from liver related disorder for some time breathed his last yesterday.  AVS (56) who has been getting treatment from a private hospital was shifted to his residence at Manikonda when his condition deteriorated.  

AVS was born on January 2, 1957 at Tenali in Guntur District.  He started giving stage performances of mimicry when he was studying in the college.  He started his career as a journalist and later was introduced to Bapu and Ramana.  He performed in TV show called “Navvite Navvandi”.  

AVS started his film career with “Mr.Pellam” which made him good recognition with his way of stuttering dialogue delivery with some of the letters mispronounced like a child.  He became so famous with his way of pronunciation that Telugu audience took it as if he had an impediment.  He once narrated that he received a call in the night from someone who was talking with stammering.  First he thought that the other person is actually having a speech defect.  But after some time he came to know that he was beingmimicked.  

AVS who acted in more than 500 films in a span of his 20 years film career played variety of roles such as comedian, villain and supporting actor.  He played Narada in the TV serial Bhagavatham.  
He served Movie Artists Association (MAA) as Chief Secretary for 3 terms by getting elected all the time unanimously.  

AVS who had lever transplantation in the year 2008 was saved from life threat at that time but the death has taken him away yesterday to leave tears in the eyes of the Telugu cine industry and cine lovers in addition to his family members, relatives and friends.  

His body is kept in Filmnagar Hyderabad for the sake of having a last darshan.
