The employees of TRANSCO and GENCO in Guntur district went on strike.  Entire supply to the district of Guntur was disrupted.  Before coming out from the duties to join strike the employees switched off power in all substations.
As all the employees of Srisailam Hydro Electric power stations went on strike, a power supply of 770 MW was stopped.  Chief Engineers are having talks with the APGENCO employees to control the situation.  
Because of the strike of NTPC employees at Vijayawada, many villages spent dark night on Saturday.  Heavy security is arranged at NTPC.
