The number of devotees visiting Tirupati is going up still.
Devotees are waiting in 31 compartments of Vaikuntham complex. Sarvadarshanam is expected after a wait of 20 hours at present and 5 hours for the special one. Devotees who reach Tirumala on foot have to wait for 8 hours to have darshan of Venkateswara Swamy.
After Saturday and Sunday usually the rush comes down unless it is a holiday. But the increasing visits of devotees to Tirumala can be attributed to the recent calamity in Uttarakhand.
The devotees of Lord Venkateswara pray the deity for the safety of their close and beloved ones and also visit when they come out of danger. They offer prayers before a favor is indented and also after it is fulfilled.
