Continuous Efforts In Uttarakhand

Army Chief General Bikram Singh who visited Hyderabad to attend Graduation Parade here talked about the rescue operations going on in Uttarakhand.  He said that 6200 troops were sent to Uttarakhand for the operation.  The main aim, Bikram Singh said, is to rescue the stranded tourist in Uttarakhand and save as many lives as we can.  He said that only obstruction will be the unfavorable conditions of the atmosphere.  In case of rains there can be a break in the operation otherwise the troops are making continuous efforts.  

Following the suggestion of Sonia Gandhi, the Union Minister Killi Krupa Rani donated one month salary and Rs.10.00 lakhs from the MP funds to develop the constituency.  

Rajasthan Government sent two choppers and two buses to help the rescue operations in Uttarakhand.  Gujarat Government also sent two helicopters to Uttarakhand.

Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde who visited the flood hit area in Uttarkhand and checked the rescue operations said that the rescue work is going on well and Government will extend a continuous help as the land is of deities.  He said that the Secretary of Home is deputed to look after and ensure the medical and other facilities also.
