Telangana Political Joint Action Committee Chairman Prof. Kodandaram says that the financial packages to Telangana that is being cooked up at Center is palatable to Telangana people.   Telangana people are not looking forward for some leftovers of the broth thrown to them to eat.  They are, Kodandaram says, are fighting for their self respect and independence.  

Prof. Kodandaram garlanded the statue of Prof.Jayashanker at Mint Compound in Hyderabad and paid respects where he talked about the Center’s planning of package offers to Telangana to crush the movement.  The program was organized by the Engineers of Electricity Department in Mint Compound.

Kodandaram narrated the story of Jayashankar who went for an interview when he was unemployed and when the State of Andhra Pradesh formed.  Jayashankar was tauntingly asked to go to Nawabs.  Then he went to the Court and got the job but the comments haunted him for some time and made him think.

Other leaders also talked about Jayashankar who first started the separate Telangana Movement with 25 people which before long reached 25 lakhs in number.  Prof. Jayashankar, as the speakers said, fought for Telangana right from his studentship to his last breathing last.   The speakers demanded a statue of Jayashankar be placed on Tank bund.

Prof. Kodandaram said that only Separate Telangana with Hyderabad is acceptable but not anything short of it .
