YS Sharmila reached Ravikampadu in East Godavari District yesterday covering 2000 km in her 150 days' padayatra, coverage on foot - "Maro Praja Prasthanam". By the time she reached the village it was late in the night and the village was asleep. Entire village woke up to the activity of the YSRCP workers.
The occasion was marked with cake cutting organized by the party workers and a 24 feet statue of YS Rajasekhara Reddy was unveiled. YS Sharmila accompanied by MLAs and leaders was surrounded by women folk of the villae to inquire her welfare and party plans regarding YS Jagan.
In the public meeting that followed, Shamila compared Congress Party and Telugu Desam Party who were having one thing in common that is, back stabbing. She said that TDP back stabbed NTR its founder and Congress back stabbed YSR after his death.
The honorary President of the party YS Vijayamma in her speech criticized Congress Party maintaining double standards. On the death of Rajiv Gandhi his name was removed from the Bofors case but YSR’s name is still appearing in the FIR filed by CBI.
YS Sharmila, daughter of Late YSR started her padayatra from Idupula Paya on October 18th 2012. She started with a decision to cover 3000 kms in the State. She had to break her program of coverage on foot for some time owing to the surgery to her knee in addition to small breaks for the sprain and to attend funerals etc.
