Alive and alert for 17 days under rubble

A woman was found alive under the rubbles of the garment factory building in Bangladesh came down 17 days ago.

Rescue operations were going on in the worst disaster in Bangladesh that caused 1000 lose their lives.  2500 persons were rescued so far and many of them were wounded and getting medical treatment in the hospitals.

Today, least expecting a person alive the rescue personnel went on removing the ruins to take out the dead bodies decomposing under them.

The woman who was working as a seamstress in the garment factory not only survived all these days under so much of weight and in that temperature without proper food and water and with dusty air but also was alert enough to summon for help.  First she hit a pipe to draw attention of the rescuers and then she called for help feebly saying that she is alive and needs help.

The woman's name is Reshma Begum and her condition is good but for the weakness due to lack proper diet for all these days.  She talked from the hospital bed in the interview that was aired by Somoy TV of Bangladesh.  She said that she lost hope of seeing light again.

She was having some dried food and some water around her which she used judiciously to keep up herself alive.

The way she survived and called for help when she found movement around is commended by all.
